About Us

David Nutting Assistant Director I oversee the Event Services planning and daily operations teams. I graduated in the UW class of 2008 with a major in Communications and Psychology.

Marie Supanich Admin Supervisor I oversee the Administrative operations of the Event Services team which includes professional and student staff. I am a graduate of Ashland University (BS) and Kent State University (MA). I come to UW with over 13 years of experience on higher education campuses and am excited to work with a plethora of campus departments and RSOs of their reservation needs.

Kyle Hanis Operations Supervisor I oversee the operations team for Event Services, working with our operations coordinator and our team of student event assistants. I graduated from CWU with a degree in communications. I love working with college students and am thankful for the opportunity to return to Seattle and do that here at UW.

Jessilee Marander Event Coordinator I intake and process room and event requests from UW departments, student organizations, and outside clients. I graduated from Western Washington University in 2007 with a BA in Theatre and worked as a stage/venue manager and teaching artist for 15 years prior to working at UW.

Jay Counsell-Torres Event Coordinator I help student organizations and outside clients through the process of room and event requests from UW departments. I graduated from Rockhurst University with a degree in Nonprofit Management with a concentration in Fundraising and an Art minor.

Erika Heick Operations Coordinator I work closely with the Operations Supervisor and our student event assistants to aid in event setup, planning, and execution. I graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in General Biology and minors in Environmental Science and Philosophy.
