Kane Hall Accessibility

Elevators

Two elevators serve Kane Hall from the Central Plaza Garage and have 42” wide doorways. One interior Kane elevator services floors B-2 only. All buttons include Braille markers and the highest button is at 42″.

Room Entrances

The first floor lobby external entrances facing Red Square have a level approach, 33” doorways and pull handle. The north most door has an automatic opener with paddle controls. The north external entrance to the first floor lobby and Central Plaza Garage elevator access has a level approach, a 33” doorway and an automatic opener with paddle controls.

Kane Auditoriums have 33-inch doorways with pull handles and automatic doors with paddle controls.

Restrooms

Restrooms are located on the Basement and Second floor and are accessible by elevator. Both locations have wheelchair accessible stalls. There are no restrooms on the First floor.

Assisted Listening Devices

Assistive listening devices (ALDs) amplify and clarify sound by cutting down or eliminating ambient noise. ALDs are available for events in Kane Hall, and can be requested by the event organizer for their attendees prior to the event.

Courtesy Wheelchairs

Kane Hall does not offer courtesy wheelchairs at this time.

Service Animals

Service animals, such as guide dogs, are permitted to assist Kane Hall visitors. The nearest green space for the animal is the Quad, west of Kane Hall.

Water Fountains

Water fountains are located on the Basement and Second floor and are accessible by elevator. There are no water fountains on the First floor.

Public Phones

There are no public pay phones in Kane Hall. Yellow emergency phones are located in the Central Plaza Garage.
