Parking, Load, Unload

The Central Plaza Parking Garage (CPG) is the most convenient place to park for events in Kane Hall and Mary Gates Hall.

Enter the garage via the east entrance at 41st Street and 15th Avenue NE.
There are two types of visitor parking at CPG.

  • Gatehouse: Stop at the CPG Gatehouse, pay the attendant, and park where directed.
  • Self-Service: Bypass the gatehouse and find an available spot on levels C02, C03 or C04. Payment is made via the PayByPhone app. [Location #123211]

Event Parking Codes
Some events may offer a code to waive the parking fee. If your event provides you with such a code, present it to the gatehouse attendant.

Once parked, you can access Kane Hall and Mary Gates Hall in the following ways:

Kane Hall Access

The easiest way to access Kane Hall is from the C1, C3, and C5 garages located in CPG. Look for the Kane Hall signage and corridor in the northeast corner of the garage.

Take the elevator to the appropriate floor:

  • 1st floor for Rooms 110, 120, 130
  • 2nd floor for Rooms 210, 220, Walker-Ames

Mary Gates Hall Access

Park in the garage and follow the signage for Gerberding Hall/Suzzallo Library.

  • Take the stairs leading to Red Square, then head south toward the Drumheller Fountain.
  • Mary Gates Hall will be on the left of the pathway leading to the fountain.

Alternate Parking Locations

  • North Gatehouse: via 45th Street and Memorial Way. Pay at the gatehouse and park where directed.
  • Self-service parking: The N01 parking lot by the Burke Museum is the closest to central campus, followed by any other North Campus lots – N06, N20, N21, or N22.
  • East Campus Parking: Parking lots E01 and E18 are close to Husky Stadium. It could mean a 15-minute uphill walk to Kane Hall but may offer the cheapest parking rates.

Notes about Parking on Campus

  • Prorated refunds are available for Visa, MasterCard, or cash payments.
  • Special event parking rates might apply depending on other campus events taking place.
  • No parking fees required on Sundays.

Load and Unload Zones

Designated loading zones are limited to 30 minutes of occupancy. Move your vehicle after loading/unloading to avoid a citation.

Kane Hall Load & Unload

  • Stop at the West Gatehouse on 15th Avenue NE and Stevens Way to get a load/unload permit, then head up George Washington Lane NE.
  • Turn right onto the driveway before the bend in the road and drive under Odegaard library to access the Kane Hall loading dock.
  • Vehicle height limit: 11’9″.

Mary Gates Hall Load & Unload

  • Obtain load/unload permit at the West Gatehouse then proceed onto Stevens Way
  • Follow the road past the Electrical Engineering Building and Guggenheim Hall, then onto Benton Lane and follow the road to the right.
  • The loading dock is near Sieg Hall on the east side of Mary Gates Hall.
